What’s happening at Cumbernauld Trinity?
Next Sunday’s Worship
Our morning worship service on Sunday 31st May will take place in the Village church in Baronhill at 11.00am, and our Cafe Church will follow at 2.30pm in Freedom City Church. Both services will be led by Rev James Gemmell and everyone is welcome.
As this is the last Sunday of the month, we’ll have our regular Fair Trade stall and invite everyone to stop and have a browse at the goodies on offer.
Minister’s Annual Leave
James will be on annual leave from Monday 1st June to Monday 8th June inclusive. If anyone requires the services of a minister during this time, please contact Mark McKeown at MMcKeown@churchofscotland.org.uk or Morag, our Session Clerk, at sessionclerk@cumbernauldtrinity.church
Vestry Time
The minister will be available every Wednesday from 10.00am until 12 noon in the Session House at the Village church (unless otherwise intimated). Everyone is welcome to pop in to speak to him or just to say hello.
(Please note that there won’t be a ‘Vestry Time’ on Wednesday 3rd June as James will be on annual leave, but it will resume as usual on Wednesday 10th June.)
Care for a Cuppa
Everyone is welcome at Care for a Cuppa every Thursday from 10.30 - 12.30 in the Session House at Cumbernauld Trinity in the Village.
For those in need, food bags will still be available as before, but we hope some visitors will feel able to simply join us for a cuppa and a chat.
Sacrament of Holy Communion
We will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at both of our services on Sunday 7th June. Morning worship in the Village Church at 11am will be conducted by Rev Ruth Forsythe, and Cafe Church at Freedom City at 2.30pm will be led by Rev Jim Gemmell.
There will be a retiring offering for Strathcarron Hospice at the morning service, and as it’s the first Sunday of the month, the ‘Big Red Bucket will be in the church vestibule for anyone who would like to ‘pop in a pound’ for our mission partners in South Africa.
Ladies’ Circle
Cumbernauld Trinity Church Ladies’ Circle meets every second Monday from May to September at Muirfield Community Centre, starting at 7pm.
The programme this year has visiting speakers, musical nights, charity talks, home nights, outings and a regular supply of tea, coffee, cakes, and fellowship.
The next meeting will be on Monday 8th June at 7.00pm in Muirfield Community Centre when our guest speaker Christine Wilkie will be giving a talk on ‘Births, Deaths and Marriages.’
