Property

Cumbernauld Trinity has a historic building in the Village, where worship services have been held since the 17th century, and plans are underway for a new building in the Town Centre to replace the St Mungo’s building which was destroyed by fire in August 2025.

The Village church is a beautiful old building set in the Village Conservation Zone. The present building dates from the 1650’s and was built on 13th century foundations. The last major renovation was completed in 2015 and plans currently are underway to modernise the space and make it as flexible and user friendly as it can be, whilst preserving the beauty and dignity of its historic origins.

We were (and still are) devastated with the total loss of our Category B-listed and iconic St Mungo’s building in a fire in August 2025. Our intention is to build a new centre for Cumbernauld Trinity on or near the former St Mungo’s site in the Town Centre and we’ll keep everyone posted with progress once that project gets underway, hopefully also in 2026.
