Harvest Appeal 2026
Our annual Harvest Appeal will take place at worship on Sunday 4th October at both the church in the Village and Cafe Church.
All who wish to support the work of both the Village and Bethlehem House of Bread Food banks are invited to bring along donations on the day. All donations of any tins, jars and packets of foods, including tea and coffee are welcome along with everyday cleaning items and toiletries. It’s good to be able to provide little treats in the food bags eg jam or tasty biscuits or savoury snacks too.
All donations will be distributed within the community through the above food banks.
We really appreciate donations throughout the year too - simply place items in the box in the vestibule.
As we are welcoming more people who simply value a cuppa and a chat rather than food bags necessarily, a decision was made to change our name from the Village Food Bank to Care for a Cuppa (which includes the food bank) in an effort to provide simple hospitality. Care for a Cuppa is open every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.30pm in the Session House in Baronhill.
Be assured, we continue to provide support for those who do need food bags.
It’s been a very rewarding experience being involved with the food bank over the last 10 years. It has evolved to meet changing circumstances and is still very much valued. Should anyone wish to find out more please just speak to any of the volunteers, either at church on Sunday or at ‘Care for a Cuppa’ on a Thursday morning.
Thank you all for enabling and supporting this mission.
